Information about the BDSM Institute and its aims
Information about the aim of the BDSM Institute, and the material presented there
The BDSM Institute is aiming at offering information, entertainment and a place to meet for people interested in BDSM, be they just curious, new into the area or with long experience.
Information is at present provided as own produced texts on various topics concerning BDSM, and as landmarks and links to other sources of interest.
Entertainment is at present provided as own produced BDSM imagery and interactive items, and as landmarks and links to other sources offering such.
The BDSM Institute is built to be visible and in a pleasant environment with the hope of making it an easily found and attractive place for people to come to.
The own produced information is of two kinds: basic information about BDSM and material aiming at challenging some of the many "truths" many people, both inside and outside the scene, know about BDSM.
To some, the material may seem sane and confirm their "truths", while to others, it may seem provocative and questionable. Regardless of which, it will hopefully start some people thinking about their "truths".
Imagery is produced by virtual means and may be pleasant to some, appalling to others, depending on taste. The purpose is however not to provoke, just to add an atmosphere and perhaps inspire some.
The interactive items offer visual aid for virtual performance of physical BDSM. They may be regarded as pixel play or inspiration, gross or ingenious, all depending on various tastes and expectations.
The BDSM Institute includes both a common virtual playground for BDSM activities, cells for more private activities, and will contain an amphitheatre for displays, performances and presentations of different kinds.
All resources of the BDSM Institute are offered as is, free of charge, around the clock, independent of RL time zones and geographical localities.
