Rules for the BDSM Institute in Second Life
Rules for visitors at the BDSM Institite in Qandico in the virtual world Second Life.
The BDSM Institute is a site for information, entertainment, meeting and play opportunities, intended for all, but still a privilege, not a right.
The following rules should never need to be enforced, if everyone just exercise a bit of common sense.
- The basic rule is to show common courtesy and respect to each other, regardless of if you're dominant, submissive or anything else.
- If you want to interact more than socially, find out what goes, by reading profiles, picks, listening in, or if still in doubt, ask politely.
- Tags like "slave" and "submissive", or being locked and helpless, does NOT equal "free for use", unless stated otherwise by the wearer.
- Tags or labels like "free for use", similar in profiles or picks, open cuffs or keys available, are deemed legitimate invitations to play.
- However, do not interfere directly with other people playing, by clicking items or chat/emote participation, unless invited or permitted.
- Respect exclusions in profiles and picks, like no males, no females, no vampires, no furries, no snuff, no scat, no whips, etc.
- Respect out of character requests to stop, given in double parenthesis in chat, e.g. "(( release me ))" or in IM, e.g. "stop whipping".
- Mass or repeated spamming or solicitation of others with sexual or other offers, invitations to places and events, is not permitted.
- Disruptive actions, like griefing, littering, and excessive textual, visual or audio spam, is not permitted.
Abuse of the above rules should be reported to staff or owner, Magnuz Binder, by IM or notecard, preferably with chat/IM log of the incident.
Staff or owner decides at their own discretion about any measures, such as information, warning, kick, temporary or permanent ban.
